1. Jana Gana Mana Is Really Supposed To Be Our National Anthem ?
We all know Jana Gana Mana penned by Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore for national anthem of India. But, actual it was really supposed to the praise King George V. He sang the song on the day of Indian National Congress convention at Calcutta on December 27th, 1911, where the King George V was also attended.
Jana Gana Mana actually means :
Jana gana mana adhinaayak jaya he: Who is this “adhinayak” (super hero) of “Jana gana mana” (in the minds of the people)?
Bharat Bhaagya Vidhata: Who exactly is our “Bhaagya Vidhata” (lord of destiny)?
Gaye tava jaya gaatha: Who is this “Tava” (your) whose “jaya gaatha” (story of victory)
Why was chosen Jana Gana Mana our National Anthem?
Jawaharlal Nehru chosen Jana Gana Mana as national anthem as opposed to Vande Mataram. Because Nehru thought it will be easier to play the band.
Vande Mataram written by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay and first sang on a stage in 1896 at the session of Indian National Congress. Where it was 15 years before Rabindranath Tagore “Jana Gana Mana” made its debut at the same stage.
2. Jawaharlal Nehru Is Supposed To Be Our First Prime Minister ?
On the day of nominations from India Congress committee for the PM position, 12 out of 15 Congress committees nominated Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel against wish of Congress. Where the remaining three committees neutral and did not nominate any name.
Mahatma Gandhi sought for proposers of Nehru. Gandhi informed Jawaharlal Nehru that no PCC has nominated his name and only few CWC members suggested. Where Nehru contempt and made clear that he didn’t want to loose.
Disappointed Gandhi requested Sardar Patel to pull back his name from nominations. With immense respect on Gandhi, Patel withdrawn without wasting time. It makes a clear way for the coronation Jawahar Lal Nehru as India’s first Prime Minister.
Here are the reasons why Gandhi chose Nehru over Patel :-
a. Mahatma Gandhi conceived that a foreign educated Nehru with modern thoughts are more eligible over than Patel.
b. Gandhi concerned that Nehru may revolt for denying as PM and here these would give British excuse to delay transfer of power. Apart from this he fully assured Sardar Patel’s loyalty and would never oppose him.
3. About Our National Flag Facts
First unofficial Indian National flag hoisted at Parsi Bagan Square (Greer Park), Calcutta on August 7, 1906. It was designed by Sachindra Prasad Bose, the flag had three horizontal strips of equal with orange, yellow and green (top to bottom) in colour.
It is said that the first version of current Indian national flag was designed by Pingali Venkayya at Bezwada (Currently Vijayawada) in 1921. It had only two colours red and green signifying Hindus and Muslims respectively. Later, Gandhiji suggested to add white color on top to represent remaining communities of India. And a spinning wheel to symbolize progress of the Nation.
After many corrections and issues, current flag has three colours – deep saffron, white and India green from top to bottom with the Ashoka Chakra in middle, a 24-spoke wheel in navy blue. The three horizontal rectangular tricolour strips represents courage and sacrifice, peace and truth, and faith & chivalry respectively. And the Ashok Chakra at the center of the flag — righteousness.
During Independence When And Where Was Our India Flag Hoisted ?
We all know that every Independence Day celebrations are officially carried at the Red Fort, Delhi as a tradition since August 15th 1947. As per a research published by the Lok Sabha secretariat unfurled that the first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru hosted the Indian flag and spoke on 16th August 1947 not 15th August 1947.
4. Hidden Story of Partition of India After Independence
Britishers hurried to withdrawal and transfer power to India and Pakistan, with an agreement to divide India into two separate states – one with a Muslim majority as East Pakistan & West Pakistan (Bengal province and the similar partition of the Punjab province) and the other with a Hindu majority (India).
Where the demand of Partition India was made by communal party of Muslims “All-India Muslim League” – contend that Indian Muslims were not a minority, so a separation of nation by virtue will makes the Islamic faith and culture. On these actions partition demand raised.

Even after Pakistan and India independence achieved, till 17th August there was no declaration about borders of two countries.
Cyril John Radcliffe, British lawyer and Law Lord – the man who was set boundary lines for India and Pakistan. here Radcliffe who doesn’t have complete information about the geography of India.
An estimated 14.5 million people crossed the border within the months after partition. During the partition estimated loss of life would be one million, for only Punjab estimated that in between 500,000-800,000 people.
The original partition was supposed to happen in June 1948 and not in August 1947.
5. Who Is Gandhi And Godse ?
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi
Mahatma Gandhi is considered one of the greatest freedom fighters, holiest and most righteous man in India. He had hidden dark side which lied behind his heart of wisdom because of his support of Hitler and racism towards African Americans.
According to Robert Payne biographer, he mentioned in “The Life and Death of Mahatma Gandhi” that Gandhi told the Jews to “commit mass suicide” and by doing this it would awaken the world.
Mahatma Gandhi supported frequently Hitler through the many meetings and letters, which all contained controversial subjects and he highly used offensive terms to define all African Americans. Gandhi had prodigious belief in the caste system.
Nathuram have great respect in Mahatma Gandhi in his childhood days and he was a staunch follower and beliver to Hindu religion.
But Nathuram Godse and some scholars had noted other side of Gandhi that he had a dark intentions.
Godse discovered that Gandhi was becoming a dictator of his own terms, which makes him to safeguard 300 million Hindus over the country with all means possible.
Nathuram shot Gandhi in the chest three times at point-blank range on 30 January 1948.
Some of Godse’s explanations for killing Gandhi
- Godse felt that Gandhiji was the only Judge and person in control the master of Civil disobedience movement, and he knew that when to start and stop it. Whether the movement succeeded or loosed it never be an important to Gandhiji and his principles.
- Gandhi again favored minority Muslims, where he decided and went on a hunger fast to grant 55 Cr to Pakistan. Nathuram felt that this as a unpleasant act against Hindus.
- Gandhi supported partition of India for Muslims, here Godse sense that he was responsible for the creation of Pakistan.
